This TIG welding program equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to operate TIG welding equipment.
Course Objective
This TIG welding training program is designed to introduce skilled tradespersons, technicians, apprentices, and others in the industry to proper techniques and theoretical knowledge using the TIG Welder process. By the end of this TIG welding course, trainees will demonstrate new or improved skills using the G.T.A.W. process in various positions and safely and efficiently cut mild steel using Oxy-Fuel or Plasma cutting equipment.
Course Contents
- Health and Safety for arc welding & cutting.
- Proper Operating Procedures for Oxy-Fuel, Plasma, and or Carbon Arc Gouging and cutting equipment.
- GTAW (TIG) Theory Fundamentals
- Welding Machine Fundamental
- Filler Wire/Electrode Selection
- Weld Faults (Causes and Cures)
- GTAW (TIG) Welding Techniques in all positions.
Evaluation Methods
In this TIG welding training course, a theory and practical welding test is administered, requiring a 70% passing grade. Successful trainees are awarded a Top Weld certificate upon completion.
Course Duration
Our courses consist of 20 to 39 hours of training.
