Serving students across Surrey, Delta, Langley, White Rock, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam, Abbotsford and the Lower Mainland.

Edmonton, Alberta:
Serving students across Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Leduc, Nisku, Acheson, Fort Saskatchewan and nearby Alberta communities.

Where applicable, candidates may receive information about third party financing or payment support options. Top Weld may help explain the general next steps, but does not make financing decisions.

Step 4: Third Party Review and Decision
Any approval, eligibility decision, interest rate, payment amount, repayment schedule, required document request or funding decision is made by the third party provider.

Important Information for Candidates

  • The Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) does not certify individual welders
  • Welders are qualified, not certified
  • Welder qualification testing is practical only; there are no written or theoretical exams

Welder qualifications are:

  • Employer-dependent
  • Valid only while employed by a CWB-certified company
  • Limited by welding process, position, material group, thickness, and applicable WPS/WPDS
  • Training programs are not accredited, or certified by the CWB
