Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 5 Driver (BC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Candidates should be prepared to handle heavy lifting and have experience in warehouse operations.

Duties

• Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
• Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, performing heavy lifting as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including moving products and operating forklifts.

Skills

• Valid Class 5 License (BC) is required.
• Proven experience in commercial driving or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
• A commitment to safety practices and protocols is essential.
