MIG & TIG Welder (Basic Blueprint Reading Required, CWB Certification Mandatory)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both MIG and TIG welding techniques, with the ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics. This role demands mechanical aptitude and proficiency in working with various materials, ensuring the fabrication and assembly of high-quality, structurally sound metal components. Attention to producing clean, precise, and visually appealing welds that meet functional standards is essential. CWB certification is mandatory for this role.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal components, ensuring clean, precise welds with smooth beads and minimal spatter
- Assemble and fabricate ductwork and other metal structures per project requirements, delivering structurally sound and visually flawless welds
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to maintain high-quality weld standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project specifications and welding requirements
- Operate crane systems as needed for moving heavy materials during welding operations (optional)
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and weld quality
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols
- Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments to ensure weld precision
- Maintain a clean and organized welding area to minimize contamination risks and uphold quality standards
Qualifications
- CWB certification is mandatory
- Proven experience as a MIG and TIG Welder with a portfolio showcasing clean, high-quality welds
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot welding equipment and avoid defects
- Familiarity with ductwork assembly preferred but not mandatory
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, press brakes, and fabrication machinery with attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail in producing clean, smooth, and visually appealing welds
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Commitment to safety regulations and maintaining a clean workspace
- Demonstrated craftsmanship ensuring consistently strong, precise welds
