TIG Welder
Job duties and responsibilities
- Read and understand fabrication blueprints/drawings;
- Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met;
- Using processes such as (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and FCAW to fuse together metal segments;
- Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic).
- Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures;
- Basic maintenance of welding equipment.
Job Qualifications
- College or technical trade school in welding is required;
- Minimum 1 year of FCAW welding experience;
- Minimum 3 years of fitter experience
- Minimum 1 year of welding experience in ornamental/architectural welding preferred;
- Experience with welding various architectural metals;
- Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints;
- Solid grasp of spoken and written English;
- Ability to work independently or with supervision;
- Strong mathematical aptitude and problem solving skills;
- Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination;
- Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)

Experience in Welding: 1 year (preferred)
