TIG Welder

Job duties and responsibilities
  • Read and understand fabrication blueprints/drawings;
  • Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met;
  • Using processes such as (MIG), GTAW (TIG) and FCAW to fuse together metal segments;
  • Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic).
  • Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures;
  • Basic maintenance of welding equipment.
Job Qualifications
  • College or technical trade school in welding is required;
  • Minimum 1 year of FCAW welding experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of fitter experience
  • Minimum 1 year of welding experience in ornamental/architectural welding preferred;
  • Experience with welding various architectural metals;
  • Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints;
  • Solid grasp of spoken and written English;
  • Ability to work independently or with supervision;
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem solving skills;
  • Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination;
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
