Full job description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated STICK Welder to join our team in Canada. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in welding and will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to ensure high-quality and precise work. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform STICK welding (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) on various metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct any defects or issues.
- Maintain and repair welding equipment as needed.
- Ensure all welding work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in STICK welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions (standing, crouching, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and welding properties of different metals.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience
1-2 years of experience in STICK welding or a related field.
